Alex joined Douglas Capital Management as executive vice president after eight years of experience as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ with Raymond James, where he was responsible for developing comprehensive financial strategies for his clients to achieve their long-term investment goals. Alex’s primary responsibilities include financial planning, investment management, business development and marketing.
His investment credentials include the CFP® certification from the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Board of Standards, Inc., the Series 7 and 66, 2-15 insurance license, and long-term care insurance license. He is previously affiliated with the Financial Planning Association of Northeast Florida. Raymond James recognized Alex as a member of their Achiever’s Club three times for his accomplishments.
Prior to his career in wealth management, Alex interned as an analyst at EverBank in Jacksonville, Florida, serving in multiple departments. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics, lettered in college football, and assisted in managing the undergraduate investment fund. Alex is a third-generation financial advisor and spent his early years interning at Douglas Capital Management in the summers.
As a Jacksonville native, Alex is passionate about the economic growth in our community and dedicates his personal and professional time to serving the needs of our local families and businesses. He has previously served with the Hightower Emerging Leaders Fellowship, the James Madison Institute Leaders Fellowship and the JAXSPORTS Council. Alex also has board experience affiliated with the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary International, St. Vincent’s Healthcare, and Habitat for Humanity.
Outside the office, he enjoys working with Zebra Technologies at Jaguar home games, playing golf and spending time with friends and family.
